Terms and conditions

The rules between Ucci, the people ordering and the people cooking. Last updated: 17 September 2026.

1. Purpose

Ucci is a marketplace connecting private individuals cooking at home with people wanting to buy their dishes. Ucci is neither the producer, nor the seller, nor the carrier of the food.

2. Account

Registration is open to adults only. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. An account may be suspended for fraudulent use or breach of these terms.

3. Cooks' obligations

  • Hold the required legal status and declare the activity to the food safety authority where the law requires it.
  • Describe each dish honestly: ingredients, allergens, quantity, date and time of preparation.
  • Follow the hygiene rules set out on the Safety & trust page.
  • Honour accepted orders, or cancel without delay if prevented.

4. Buyers' obligations

Collect the order in the agreed slot, declare any allergy before ordering, and respect the cook and their home. Reviews must relate to an order actually collected.

5. Price, payment and service fee

Cooks freely set their prices. Ucci charges a service fee shown before payment is confirmed. Payment is handled by a licensed provider and released to the cook after the handover.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancelling is free for the buyer until preparation begins; after that the order stands. A cancellation by the cook triggers an automatic full refund. Claims must be raised within 24 hours of collection.

7. Right of withdrawal

Under consumer law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable food prepared to order.

8. Liability

The cook is solely responsible for the compliance, quality and safety of the dishes they prepare, and for their tax and social obligations. Ucci's liability is limited to the proper operation of the platform.

9. Published content

You keep the rights to your photos and texts and grant Ucci a limited licence to display and promote the service. Misleading, offensive or unlawful content is removed.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the app. Ucci may suspend an account for serious breach, with prior notice except in cases of food safety risk or fraud.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute we seek an amicable solution first, and consumer mediation remains available.
